Wishing Lake is a multi layered book. The issue with parents, friends and the past all add to the overall enjoyment of the book. Peyton and Darius really have a explosive chemistry as well as witty conversations. I enjoyed revisiting with characters that still have a place in my heart.

Good read! I know you like twenty words or more but what can I say. It's 400a.m. and about to book four. Way to go Payton be your own woman.
Very good story. Peyton and Darius's love story was quite an ground breaking journey for them both. They both had parent issues and they finally stood up to their parents and gained their respect.
Dr. Peyton Harris, the new history professor at Trinity Falls University, has moved to the city to get a new start and to escape her overbearing parents and a fiance she has no intention of marrying. Darius Knight, a local newspaper reporter, is having problems with his newly-separated parents, whose public squabbles are legendary in the small town. Although their initial introduction is less-than-cordial, continual encounters, being locked in a university storage room (which Darius feels was the work of a town matchmaker), and serving as co-chairs for the town's community center fundraiser, leads to a burgeoning relationship.

Because of their past relationship disasters, both Peyton and Darius have serious relationship issues which makes each reluctant to fully commit. But both realize that the feelings they are developing exceeds what they've ever experienced in prior relationships. Can they reconcile their pasts and effectively deal with their parent problems so that their future can be with each other? That is the dilemma they both have to face and reconcile.

Like the previous books in the Finding Home series, Wishing Lake captivated me from the beginning and held me in its grip until the end. But this book drew me in so effectively that I found myself talking to and fussing at the characters, all of which is a credit to the extraordinary writing of Regina Hart. Love the series and am in love with this book. Can't wait for the next in the series!
I liked this book because I fell in love with the town and the characters. I read Harmony Cabins first and enjoyed that one as well. Payton and Darius got on my nerves a little bit at the end but I still enjoyed this book.

I intend to read the entire series.

WISHING LAKE is a great addition to the FINDING HOME SERIES. Peyton and Darius have major issues considering their past, parents and unyielding exes. Yet as a couple, there are sparks and inner feelings that should be explored. Miss Helen and her willing cohorts are showing them at every chance. This story keeps you engaged and laughing at the secondary characters especially Ethel and Simon, Darius's parents. Now I'm waiting for Miss Helen's book and the multiple weddings! !! Darius, the town’s hard working newspaper reporter and most eligible bachelor, avoids relationships after growing up watching his parents’ uncaring and unfaithful relationship. Peyton wanted to make some changes in her life that included separating from her controlling parents and the man they wanted her to marry. Hart is fantastic with bringing these characters to life. Readers can easily put themselves in the place of Peyton and Darius as they try to separate themselves from their families. They also must overcome stereotypes that they have created for themselves in order to open their hearts. A bonus – Hart allows readers a chance to catch up with all of the towns’ favorite characters. Readers will find themselves laughing at their favorite characters as they cheer for Darius and Peyton.
